Studio Says:
When millionaire hedge fund manager James (Will Ferrell) is nailed for fraud and bound for a stretch in San Quentin, the judge gives him 30 days to get his affairs in order. Desperate, he turns to Darnell (Kevin Hart) to prep him for a life behind bars. But despite James’ one-percenter assumptions, Darnell is a hard-working small business owner who has never received a parking ticket, let alone been to prison.
Together, the two men do whatever it takes for James to “get hard” and, in the process, discover how wrong they were about a lot of things – including each other.
Kandy Says:
Kevin Hart is the hot name in Hollywood. Audiences are lining up in droves to see his films. That being said, with Will Ferrell in the lead, what movie-goers are wondering is which Will Ferrell will we see? Ricky Bobby of Talladega Nights or Chaz from Wedding Crashers? One of the all-time SNL greats for his characters and delivery, Ferrell in his films delivers wide degrees of performances, depending on if he is the lead or a supporting actor. We’re fairly certain fans of Ferrell and Hart will embrace their actor’s performance and cringe at the performance of the opposing star. Ferrell’s and Hart’s joint appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon makes perfect sense now.
